Dell PC BIOS updates broke the firm's laptops and PCs. Reddit users are actively reporting that their devices stopped booting after installing updates.

Problems have been identified at least on the Dell Latitude 5320 and 5520, as well as the Dell Inspiron 5680 and Alienware Aurora R8. Also, complaints are left on the official Dell community resource.

All victims equally point to the latest BIOS version as the cause of the problems. According to the owners of the gadgets, the indicators and the display refuse to work when the computer is turned on.

In this case, the computer itself, apparently, starts, but then a critical error occurs and the device turns off. Dell has not yet released a hotfix. For now, users are advised to revert to a previous BIOS version whenever possible.

Earlier it was reported that the BusKill company released a USB cable that is able to lock the computer and activate the destruction of files in the PC memory.
