Blackmagic Announces Micro Color - DaVinci Resolve Controller for iPad

Blackmagic has introduced a Micro Color controller that makes video editing easier in DaVinci Resolve for iPad. The device will go on sale at the end of May 2024, and can be purchased for $500.

Micro Color is a small device about the size of a computer keyboard. It connects to your iPad using USB-C or Bluetooth, and there's space on the top of the controller to mount a tablet for easy operation. On the front of the panel there are 12 rotary knobs, 3 trackballs and a set of buttons. All this can be used for video color correction in the DaVinci Resolve editor.

The company notes that it developed Micro Color specifically for the iPad. By default, the tablet supports working with external keyboards, mice, trackpads and styluses, but this is not always enough for comfortable work with specialized software. Blackmagic has decided to simplify the video editing process in DaVinci Resolve.

The Micro Color controller will be available at the end of May 2024. The device will cost $500. The company said it will show the controller at NAB 2024. Visitors will be able to test the gadget and place a pre-order.
