Alma-Ata resumed the work of mobile and wired Internet

Access to wired and mobile Internet, which was absent in Almaty since Monday, was resumed on Tuesday. This was reported by the correspondent of the TASS agency.

Internet access in the metropolis became available at about 07:00 local time (04:00 Moscow time).

At about 06:30 (03:30 Moscow time), residents of the capital of Kazakhstan also got access to the World Wide Web. Initially, wired Internet began to work, a little later, the operation of mobile was resumed.

Earlier on January 10, the Internet was once again turned off in Kazakhstan, while the cellular communication continues to work.

On the eve it was reported that in a number of trade facilities in Kazakhstan it is possible to pay using payment systems. The ministry added that the list of facilities whose clients can use payment systems will expand.

Mass protests in Kazakhstan began on January 2 due to the rise in gas prices to 120 tenge and quickly escalated into riots and clashes with the police. On January 4, the government commission announced a reduction in the price of gas to 50 tenge.
