Russia - Throwing a flare at the police in Moscow received 5 years in prison

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Tverskoy Court of Moscow sentenced Vyacheslav Igumnov, a participant in an uncoordinated rally on January 23, to 5 years in a penal colony. As the press service of the Tverskoy Court told a correspondent, Igumnov was found guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on hooliganism committed with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, as well as the use of violence against government officials. For hooliganism, the court sentenced him to 4 years in prison, and for attacking police officers - 2 years in prison. By partial addition of sentences, the court finally sentenced him to 5 years in a general regime correctional colony.

Earlier, during the debate of the parties, the prosecutor asked to sentence him to 8 years in prison. What the 21-year-old Igumenov did was filmed by his comrades on the phone during an unauthorized action in Moscow a year ago on January 23 near Bolshaya Dmitrovka. With a cry of "grenade," he threw a lit flare at the police, who stood in a cordon. Igumnov was found and detained a week later, after which, on February 1, the Presnensky Court sent him into custody. Igumenov himself repented on the video of the interrogation and asked not to repeat what he had done, and also not to go to unauthorized rallies.
