The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko told when it is best to be vaccinated against coronavirus so that immunity is formed in a timely manner, TASS reports.
According to the minister, the best time to get vaccinated against coronavirus is when the incidence is decreasing.
“As soon as the incidence of the disease began to increase, the population ran to get vaccinated. It's late. Now, when we are on the decline today, this is probably the most successful period, because immunity will be formed and the load will be less,” he said during the Gaidar Forum.
Vaccination against COVID-19 was first included in the national vaccination schedule in December last year. Five coronavirus vaccines have been registered in Russia: Sputnik V, Epivaccorona, Kovivak, Sputnik Light, and Epivaccorona-N.
According to the latest data, 21,155 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the country. Rospotrebnadzor warned of an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia.
