As Vladimir Bolibok explained, the infectiousness of "omicron" is affected by the fact that its incubation period has been reduced, and the first symptoms appear after three to four days. For comparison: initially this period for coronavirus ranged from five to 14 days.

Finally, the specialist noted that the new strain is increasingly affecting children who end up in the hospital. This means that in the near future, the burden may increase not only on the healthcare system as a whole, but also specifically on its children's link.
