On January 5, Leonid Kuravlev was urgently hospitalized at the Moscow City Clinical Hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka with suspected coronavirus infection. Doctors found pneumonia in the 85-year-old artist, and later the artist underwent emergency stomach surgery.
