Russia (bbabo.net), - A resident of the Zavitinsky district of the Amur region became a defendant in a criminal case on bribery of a police officer. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As told in the department, it all started with the fact that in December last year, a local resident turned to the police station in the Zavitinsky district. She stated that she had concluded a repair agreement with the man and paid him 86,000 rubles in advance. However, the citizen did not start work. The police began checking and invited the suspect to the department.

“Wishing to avoid responsibility, the man offered an illegal monetary reward to the criminal investigation officer. Thus, he counted on the assistance of the official in resolving the issue of not bringing him to justice. Later, while in the car, the Amur resident handed over 16,000 rubles to law enforcement officers,” the report says.

The police officer reported this to the authorities. The suspect faces up to two years in prison.
