Russia (bbabo.net) - A resident of the Kirov region, doctors removed a piece of a branch one and a half centimeters long from her eye. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Health. A 65-year-old pensioner went to the doctors with a complaint of inflammation. Shortly before that, she stumbled and fell on a tree lying on the ground.

At first, the woman was treated on an outpatient basis, but there was no improvement. Then she was sent to the regional clinical hospital. After the MRI, it turned out that there was a foreign body in the pensioner's eye.

Doctors of the Department of Microsurgery urgently prescribed a technically difficult operation for the patient. It was successful - the foreign body was pulled out. The vision of the Kirov woman was preserved.

As noted by Vadim Ralnikov, the chief physician of the Regional Clinical Hospital, even in the context of a pandemic, the clinic continues to provide specialized assistance to patients with pathology of the organs of vision, both on an emergency and planned basis, in full. This is important, since in many regions the ophthalmological departments have been converted into infectious diseases hospitals, the head physician noted.
