Sri Lanka police arrest over 790 drunk drivers during holidays

Sri Lanka police have arrested over 790 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol during the past five days of New Year festivities.

Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara said 792 persons driving under influence have been arrested by the police during the past five days.

The arrested motorists will be produced before court, the police Spokesperson said.
