When modeling the dispersion of droplets of varying sizes generated by coughing, talking and breathing in the cabin of an infected person, the researchers predictably found that the SARS-CoV-2 virus contained in such droplets spread with the distribution of air in the cabin and was inhaled by other passengers.

According to the results, the method in 84 percent of cases correctly predicted whether a particular person became infected or not. According to researchers, this is a high figure. They also noted that the analysis showed that wearing a mask during the flight and not talking between neighbors reduced the risk of coronavirus transmission.
