Ex-judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya Yangulbaev turned to Peskov after the kidnapping of his wife in Nizhny Novgorod

Retired Judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya Saidi Yangulbaev recorded an appeal to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, in which he confirmed the information about the abduction of his wife. The video of his appeal was published by the “Committee against Torture” (in 2015, after being entered by the Ministry of Justice into the register of foreign agents, the organization was liquidated; it currently operates under the same name without forming a legal entity) in its Telegram channel.

“You called the story of the kidnapping of my wife Zarema Musayeva a fantasy. I confirm that my wife was abducted by law enforcement officers, of whom only one showed an ID, and taken away in an unknown direction, most likely to Chechnya,” said Yangulbaev.

Peskov said earlier that he had seen reports of the kidnapping in the press, but did not know if they were true. He also stressed that dealing with this situation is not the prerogative of the Kremlin. The spokesman noted that the presidential administration prefer not to believe such reports without any confirmation.

The situation became known from the words of human rights activist Abubakar Yangulbaev. He stated that "Chechen security forces" kidnapped his mother (wife of federal judge Saydi Yangulbaev), and she was in serious danger. According to him, he turned to the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Later, the head of the ChGTRK Grozny, Chingiz Akhmadov, published an investigation on his Telegram channel, alleging that the Yangulbaev family was connected to the opposition telegram channel ADAT.
