Russia (bbabo.net), - A criminal case has been initiated against the head of the regional construction supervision department of the Ministry of Construction of the Chelyabinsk Region, Yevgeny Efimenko, who is suspected of taking a bribe.

“According to the investigation, in August last year, the suspect received a bribe from an entrepreneur in the form of property services for issuing a conclusion on the compliance of a trading facility with building codes, in the presence of significant violations,” said Vladimir Shishkov, a representative of the investigating department.

The crime was discovered by officers of the UFSB of the region.

The official's actions are qualified under the article on accepting a bribe on a large scale, which provides for a sentence of seven to 12 years with a fine of 60 times the amount of the offering.

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint and bringing charges is being decided.
