Russia (bbabo.net), - In the Pribaikalsky district of Buryatia, the operation of a website selling fake coronavirus vaccination certificates was stopped. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the republic.

Employees of the supervisory agency identified a suspicious resource during Internet monitoring. The site posted ads with prices for the purchase of certificates of vaccination against COVID-19. Access to the portal was free, users regularly viewed it.

The Pribaikalsky District Court recognized the information posted on the site as prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation. The court decision has not yet entered into force, but the web resource is no longer functioning.

The prosecutor's office of the region recalled that criminal liability is provided not only for the manufacture and sale, but also for the use of fake vaccination certificates.
