In the large village of Anastasievskaya (nearly 20,000 people live here) on Pionerskaya Street, houses are flooded up to the ankle, and in some places even knee-deep. Water is the same on the streets, and in personal plots, and in buildings. People complain that the flooding began on January 21 and the local authorities did not immediately react to the disaster. The pumping of water started only three days ago. Now long fire hoses are laid along some streets of the village, through which water is removed with the help of pumps.

“Because of the flooding, the entire village was disconnected from the gas supply so that in the event of a pipe burst, water and gas would not mix,” says one of the residents of Anastasievskaya. - And here we are for the third day without heating, in the cold. Don't even cook food.

Local residents assure that since the beginning of this year they began to apply to the administration with a demand to clear the sewers and prepare for possible floods, which often occur in the spring. But, according to them, nothing was done. Now, for the unacceptable carelessness of various services and organizations that are responsible for cleaning sewers and canals, laying housing and communal services, people are paying with their flooded homes.

So far, the water is in the houses, thanks to the positive temperature, but in one day - on February 4 - weather forecasters predict frosts. And then the water in the houses will turn into ice ...

According to the head of the Slavyansky district Roman Sinyagovsky, the villages of Anastasievskaya, Petrovskaya, Chernoerkovskaya, the villages of Sovkhozny and Tselinny, the farms of Neshchadimovsky, Baranikovsky and Prikubansky, as well as Slavyansk-on-Kuban, have now suffered from the flood.

- In 254 households, the height of the water reaches 15 centimeters. More than 800 people, including 161 children, live in flooded buildings, Roman Sinyagovsky said in an interview with the head of the Kuban, Veniamin Kondratyev. - 12 residents were evacuated to the temporary accommodation point.

Sinyagovsky noted that the district authorities, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, are now actively working to pump out water.

- Due to the melting of snow and rain, a number of settlements of the Slavyansk region were hit, - commented the governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratiev. - Today, the main task is to help people return to their former lives as soon as possible. No affected family should be left alone with the disaster. It is important to keep under control the work to eliminate the consequences of bad weather, quickly pump out water, take out garbage from flooded streets.

- The most difficult situation remains in the Slavyansky district, where 688 adjacent territories were flooded, of which water entered 254 households. More than 134 units of special equipment were involved in pumping water, - says Nikolai Platonikhin, First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Krasnodar Territory. - Among them are motor pumps, fire pumping stations, a fire hose truck, a pump hose complex, tank trucks, sewage trucks. Cleaning of yards, streets and storm sewers and drains from garbage is being carried out.

Despite flooding and water in buildings, many locals refuse to leave their homes and stay overnight for fear of robbery or theft.
