According to the specialist, BA.2 will gain an advantage in distribution if it can infect vaccinated and recovered patients.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova in Russia said that a subspecies of "omicron" strain BA.2 was identified in Moscow, the Republic of Mari El, the Rostov Region, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
