Russia - Covid polyclinic in Chelyabinsk switched to round-the-clock reception

Russia (bbabo.net), - In Chelyabinsk, one of the outpatient centers for patients with symptoms of coronavirus, due to the influx of patients, switched to round-the-clock operation. This was announced at a briefing in the government of the region by the first vice-governor Irina Gekht.

“Since yesterday, the polyclinic, deployed on the basis of OKB No. 2, began to work around the clock,” she said. - Now people can go there at night, undergo express testing for COVID-19, get a doctor's consultation and the necessary medicines.

As already reported, covid polyclinics were opened in the region in order to unload the primary link. Today there are already 18 of them: more than 10 in Chelyabinsk, the rest - in Magnitogorsk, Miass, Zlatoust and Troitsk. They are deployed in separate buildings, or in medical facilities with separate entrances.

The polyclinic in the Leninsky district of Chelyabinsk, at Gagarin, 18, was the first to switch to a round-the-clock operation.

In addition, eight PCR testing points have been opened in Chelyabinsk, Korkino, Kopeisk and Yemanzhelinsk, where people can get tested for COVID-19 free of charge.

With the advent of "omicron", the main blow was taken by physicians in the primary care. The number of people seeking help at polyclinics, according to Hecht, has tripled over the past week. Meanwhile, the number of pneumonias is decreasing, which confirms the version that the new strain spreads faster, but causes a less severe course of the disease.
