Russia (bbabo.net) - Investigators of the Moscow region are studying all the circumstances of the tragedy that occurred on Friday evening in the village of Selyatino. There, during the installation of a fence at the construction site of the future shopping complex in SNT Otradnoye, three spans of a concrete fence collapsed into a trench with workers. As a result, two workers died on the spot, and three more were injured and were hospitalized. One of them, who is in serious condition, died in hospital on Saturday.

"The Investigation Department for Naro-Fominsk of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case on the fact of violation of safety rules during earthworks, which resulted in the death of two workers (part 3 of article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)", - said Olga Vradiy, a representative of the regional investigative directorate .

With the participation of forensic investigators, an inspection was made of the site of the collapse of the concrete fence and the construction camp. The project and executive documentation, as well as other materials important for the investigation, were confiscated from the developer. As part of the investigation of the criminal case, four forensic medical examinations have been appointed.

The prosecutor's office took control of the investigation of this criminal case. An inspection organized by the supervisory authority will make it possible to find out how the requirements of federal legislation were observed, including those on labor protection and safety in the course of construction work.
