Russia - FSB cracks down on a network of clandestine arms dealers

Russia (bbabo.net), - The FSB, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard, stopped the activities of 87 illegal gunsmiths in 20 regions of Russia. As a correspondent was told at the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia, the activities of 26 underground workshops for the modernization of weapons and the manufacture of ammunition were also stopped.

The special operation of the security forces took place in January-February in Moscow and the Moscow region, the republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Crimea, North Ossetia-Alania and Sakha (Yakutia), Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk territories, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Sverdlovsk , Smolensk, Tver, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl regions. The operational video footage shows the detention of suspects, searches in their places of residence and in underground workshops equipped in garages.

According to the FSB CSO, an impressive arsenal of weapons of domestic and foreign production has been seized from illicit trafficking. In total - 274 "barrels". Including 4 machine guns ("MG-42", "DP-27", "RPK") and 18 machine guns ("AK-103", "AK-105", "AKM", "AKS-74U"). Also in the arsenal of illegal gunsmiths were 6 submachine guns ("Thompson", "VZ-26", "SA-26", "PPS", "G1PSh"), 127 pistols and revolvers ("Glock-17", "Beretta" , "Luger", "Colt-1911", "Desert Eagle", "Browning", "Walther", "APS", "6-P-9", "Korovina", "PSM", "PM", "TT" ", "Guardian", "Stalker", "Buldog", "Smith & Wesson", "Nagant").

In addition, 119 rifles and carbines were seized ("Mauser", "VepaShe", "Slb2000", "CZ MALLARD", "VSS-Vintorez", "Val", "SKS", "Saiga", "Vepr", " Mosin", "Tiger", "SVT-VPO", "TOZ-8", "TOZ", "CZ", "Mauser"). And also over 17 kg of explosives, 11 electric detonators, 176 hand grenades ("F-1", D-5", "M-32", "M-43"), more than 27,000 cartridges of various calibers.
