In Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region, a 29-year-old man was detained after trying to burn his ex-wife in front of two children, reports Znak.com.

It is noted that the incident occurred on January 15. The man was driving a car with his ex-wife, as well as children of ten and six years old. During the trip, the ex-spouses had a fight motivated by hatred. Then the suspect forced the woman to slow down at the store, got out of the car, asking the children to do the same. Then he set fire to the front seat and carpet of the car with engine oil and began to hold the doors, threatening to kill him if he got out. The man was detained, he faces up to two years in prison under the article "Threat to kill". It turned out that in 2019 and 2020 he was twice prosecuted for making death threats against his ex-wife. This time, the victim "took a principled position" and did not agree to reconciliation.

Earlier, in the Smolensk region, a man, because of a quarrel with his girlfriend, set fire to a Nissan car and a garage in which a Chevrolet car was located.
