British Foreign Minister invited to Voronezh region after embarrassment

Sergey Naumov, Chairman of the Opora Regional Union of Entrepreneurs and founder of the Petrovsky Ships Museum, told RIA Novosti that he was inviting British Foreign Minister Elizabeth Truss to visit the Voronezh Region.

“I sincerely invite the minister to visit our region so that she can feel what kind of region it is, what country she is in. We will be glad to see her,” Naumov said.

He explained that he would first show Truss a map of Russia with the Voronezh region indicated, so that she could assess the ratio of the region "on a national scale."

Naumov also conducted a tour of the sights of the region, where Peter I visited. He stressed that the British "really appreciate" such places.

“Everything is left. I would show where Peter lived, where he worked, including where her (Trass) compatriots worked, who made a great contribution to the development of Russia, at that time. A low bow to them, ”summed up the head of the Petrovsky Ships Museum in Voronezh.

Earlier, Truss, during negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, made a reservation, saying that the Rostov and Voronezh regions do not belong to Russia.
