Parents arrested in US for forcing adopted son to live in a box

In the United States, a couple was arrested for forcing a foster child to live in a garage in a box, reports Complex.

Timothy and Tracey Ferriter imprisoned a 14-year-old in a 2.5 by 2.5 meter box in which the child lived for more than five years. Instead of a toilet, he used a bucket, received leftovers from a family dinner, and was constantly under surveillance camera.

According to the police report, the boy was kept locked up before and after school, forbidden to go outside and enter the house. It is not known how this story would have ended, but the schoolboy miraculously managed to escape and hide from his adoptive parents.

Tracy herself called the police and reported that her son was missing. The officers who arrived examined the house, and then drew attention to the building in which the escapee lived. The woman did not want to let them into the room, but eventually changed her mind after hearing that she was obstructing the investigation.

What they saw led the police to think that the parents were hiding something. Later, the runaway student himself came to the police and told what happened to him - his words were confirmed during the investigation.

Tracy and Timothy were arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment.

Earlier in the United States, a married couple was accused of beheading their own children.
