Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's mansion hit by stench from bird sanctuary

Residents of the Montecito neighborhood, home to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and other celebrities, are suffering from a stench emanating from the nearby Andre Clark Bird Sanctuary. It is reported by the Daily Mail.

Considered the largest wildlife area in the Santa Barbara area, the reserve is a 17-hectare salt marsh. At times, when the water stagnates, the area is filled with an unpleasant smell that bothers the inhabitants of expensive mansions in Montecito.

“It stinks, as if carrion rots under the sun. It just turns me on. I have seen many homeowners slam windows when this is heard, ”the publication quotes one of the inhabitants of the district.

Local authorities said the problem could persist until autumn.

“Water can stagnate there,” said Cameron, a spokesman for Santa Barbara. “Stink problems occur from time and can be exacerbated under certain conditions.”

In addition to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, as well as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom live in the Montecito mansions.

Prince Harry has been criticized for complaining about burnout.
