Singer Avraam Russo said that he did not file a complaint with the police about the slander of Joseph Prigogine because of the request of the producer himself.

“My lawyer’s statement in the media silenced them (Prigozhin and his lawyer Sergei Zhorin -) mouth, so [the case] didn’t move anywhere further. Moreover, they asked me through various channels not to touch them, that is, they gave me back, ”Russo emphasized.

In December 2021, Russo’s lawyer told the kp.ru website that he was preparing a statement to the police on his behalf under part five of Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Slander combined with accusing a person of committing a serious crime”) against Prigozhin. The fact is that the producer, in his comments to the media, called Russo a fraudster.

According to Rousseau, he had no intention of sorting things out with Prigogine. The artist recalled that it was the producer who threatened him and the Secret for a Million program with a court. On the air of the show, the singer suggested that Prigozhin could be involved in the assassination attempt on him in 2006.

“He was the first to start this lawyer, pouring threats. He should have been the one to sue for defamation. There was nothing of the sort on my part,” Rousseau continued.

The artist noted that he filed a lawsuit in the case of kidnapping against other people - businessman Telman Ismailov, his nephew Zaur Mordanov, driver Vladimir Gusakov and Elyar Damirov. In May 2021, the court sentenced two of Russo's kidnappers to real terms, but released them from serving their sentences due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

Prigozhin's representative, lawyer Sergei Zhorin, said he "couldn't say anything" about the proceedings between the singer and the producer. Prigozhin himself flatly refused to comment on the situation.

Earlier, Prigozhin said that he intends to sue Abraham Russo for libel.
