The head of the Kaluga region banned migrants from obtaining simplified citizenship

The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, visited the migration center without warning and found out that many visitors do not speak Russian. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Rise".

“He didn’t understand what I was asking him at all! In Russian, no belmes! the official said in a video that circulated after a conversation with one of the migrants.

As a result, the governor announced that in the Kaluga region, immigrants from Central Asia would be prohibited from obtaining simplified citizenship, and migrants would have to report to the police for fake certificates of Russian language proficiency.

“We also decided to introduce a ban on attracting foreigners on patents in the following areas of the economy: trade, passenger transportation, recruitment agencies and public catering. Employers will have three months to resolve this issue with employees,” said Shapsha.

Earlier, Alexander Khinshtein, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, IT and Media, called the migration issue a civilizational problem.

Prior to this, it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to change the rules for declaring foreign citizens undesirable. The explanatory note to the draft explains that when preparing a document on recognizing a foreign citizen as undesirable, the department will establish that he has family members with a Russian passport.

Also, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the quality of migration registration in Russia raises “serious questions”, as a result of inspections, violations in this area are often revealed.
