The witness spoke about the atrocities of the Nazis in the Rostov region

A resident of Rostov, Claudia Sisyukina, during a court hearing, spoke about the atrocities of the Nazis on the territory of the Rostov region during the Great Patriotic War.

The court began to consider the claim of the prosecutor of the Rostov region on the recognition of the actions of the Nazis in the region during the Second World War as genocide. In total, 125 thousand civilians and prisoners of war were killed in the Rostov region.

“When there was an occupation, my friend and I helped the wounded... My friend took one wounded soldier to her home. Someone said this, and the Nazis came and shot both her and the wounded, ”said Sisyukina.

She added that someone also reported to the Nazis that five guys from school No. 35 helped the wounded. After that, the guys were lined up and, under threat of death, they demanded to confess.

“The boys came forward and they were all brutally shot,” Sisyukina said.

Later, Sisyukin was forcibly taken to Germany, where she spent five months in prison - until the victory of the Soviet Union in the war.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, punitive units operated in the region during the occupation. In 1941-1943, they systematically shot civilians, as well as prisoners of war of the Red Army.
