“I didn’t cry, I’m holding on”: the lawyer spoke about the reaction of a schoolboy from Kansk to the verdict for plans to “blow up” the FSB

Vladimir Vasin, a lawyer for a schoolboy from the Krasnoyarsk Territory who was sentenced to five years in prison for a plan to "blow up" the FSB building in Minecraft, said he plans to appeal the verdict.

“We will make the final decision when we read a lot of sheets, since only the operative part was announced. But for now, yes, we intend to appeal, because this is a very cruel punishment and for the absence of damage. Nikita is holding on, not crying. Mom is in grief,” he said.

Earlier, the Eastern District Military Court sentenced one of the Kansk schoolchildren who planned to “blow up” the FSB building in Minecraft to five years in prison. Such a punishment was received by the informal leader of the group under the article on training for terrorist purposes. However, two of his accomplices were released from criminal liability for assisting the investigation.

According to the investigation, from October 2019 to June 2020, young people united in a group in order to continue to engage in terrorist activities. They independently made explosives and devices and then used them in abandoned buildings, wastelands and construction sites.
