The court confirmed the conviction of a teacher who read Kharms' poems at school

The teacher of the St. Petersburg gymnasium No. 168, Serafima Saprykina, who quit after the scandal with the poems of Daniil Kharms, was tried in 2008 for intentionally causing grievous bodily harm (part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This is reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Volgograd region.

Previously, Saprykina bore the name of Sim Kazimov. The woman herself admitted this.

According to the press service, Kazimova committed the crime on October 29, 2007. She was in the company of friends in the apartment of the house, located in the Krasnooktyabrsky district of the city of Volgograd.

Kazimova made a remark to her friend S. because of his wrong behavior, in response the man punched her in the face. Her friend B. stood up for the woman, a fight broke out between the men. After that, Kazimova, taking a kitchen knife from the table, stabbed S. twice, thereby causing serious harm to his health.

During the trial, the woman denied her guilt, but in connection with the evidence presented, the court found her guilty.

On December 17, 2008, the Krasnooktyabrsky District Court of the city of Volgograd sentenced Kazimova to two years' imprisonment on probation, with a probationary period of six months.

Earlier it was reported that the director of the gymnasium explained the dismissal of Saprykina by a violation of the curriculum.
