The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Russia, Melita Vujnovic, spoke about the progress in registering the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. This was reported on the Izvestia website.

Vujnovic stressed that the process of adding the Russian drug to the list of funds for use in emergency situations (Emergency Use Listing, EUL) has already been resumed. According to her, all the necessary legal documents were also signed.

“Until the process is completed, all details remain confidential. I cannot predict when the assessment will be completed, but I know that the process is moving forward,” Vujnovic said.

She stressed that WHO is calling on manufacturers of coronavirus drugs, including from Russia, to submit applications to participate in the EUL evaluation process, as COVID-19 vaccination must cover all eligible populations, and the virus is still changing.

Previously head of the center Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg said that the registration of the Sputnik V vaccine by the World Health Organization is inevitable.
