Russia (bbabo.net), - The prosecutor's office of the Yaroslavl region organized an inspection in connection with harm to the health of a pensioner after snow fell from the roof of a residential building.

The incident occurred at house 11, building 2, on Clubnaya Street in Yaroslavl. According to the regional prosecutor's office, it was previously established that the snow had fallen from a makeshift balcony canopy.

The victim is being treated in the Yaroslavl emergency hospital named after Solovyov.

The investigating authorities of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation organized their pre-investigation check on the fact of snow falling on an elderly woman.

The official representative of the Yaroslavl Regional Prosecutor's Office, Yana Smirnova, also said that earlier, in connection with numerous appeals and publications in the media about ice on the roofs of houses, the supervisory agency organized inspections of the implementation by building managers of the requirements of the legislation on the maintenance of buildings and structures in the winter period, as well as adjoining areas of apartment buildings.

- In the first days of the inspection, it covered more than a hundred housing facilities, over fifty homeowners' associations and housing construction cooperatives, eight city management companies, - said Yana Smirnova, emphasizing that numerous facts of untimely clearing of snow, ice and icicles on the roofs of houses, the absence of protective tapes at places where icicles could fall, as well as relevant announcements.

In relation to legal entities and their leaders, cases of an administrative offense were initiated under Part 2 of Article 14.1.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (carrying out entrepreneurial activities in the management of apartment buildings in violation of license requirements).
