In the village of Pasha, Volkhov District, Leningrad Region, a monument to the letter "Sh" will be erected this year. As Artur Kulimanov, the head of the settlement, said, the art object will become the “highlight” of the new public space, where a promenade with swings, benches and a photo zone will be equipped.

“Since 2018, we have been participating in rating voting on the selection of territories for improvement. It is carried out by the committee on housing and communal services of the Leningrad region. One of the requirements for the projects put to the vote is the mandatory use of small architectural forms. We thought for a long time what object we should use so that it would attract residents and guests of the settlement. After all, in fact, this is a photo zone. I did not want to install just banal inscriptions, hearts. This is actually in all cities and villages, ”Kulimanov explained.

Going through the ideas, the administration of the settlement and the public remembered the monument to the letter “Yo” and decided: why not use “such a trick” as well.

“We remembered that once the common people said: “We are from Pasha - we speak she,” and we stopped there. The letter "Sh" will become an integral part of the Pash Promenade project, its highlight. There will be a separate approach to the art object, at night the letter willuminated,” Kulimanov explained.

He added that most of the local residents liked the Pashsky Promenade project with the letter “Sh”. But it was not without criticism. According to the head of the village Pasha, the administration "takes it well, and takes note of everything useful from it."
