The famous cat Osya from the Anna Akhmatova Museum died in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, the cat Osya, the talisman and curator of the Anna Akhmatova Museum, died.

“For more than a decade and a half, Osya lived in the Fountain House, met visitors, took strokes, walked around the garden, and for many became a symbol of our museum. TV spots were filmed about him, articles were written, he even became the hero of the book “This cat is registered in the center. You all followed the history of his loss and return, were interested in his well-being,” the publication on the VKontakte page of the museum says.

It is noted that Osya spent the last months of his life at home "on an honorable pension."

In October last year, it became known about the disappearance of 16-year-old Osya. The cat was taken by an unknown girl from the arch leading to the garden of the Fountain House on the night of October 7-8. Employees feared for the health of the pet, as he had to regularly go to the veterinarian and take medication twice a day. The animal was later returned.
