After the 2020 pandemic, the car can be sold at a better price. This is the opinion of 40% of the 10,000 Russians surveyed from the country's major cities, Avtoteka experts said in a study that they read.

A third of the Russians surveyed noted that in 1-2 years it will become even more profitable to sell a car. However, it will become more difficult to buy another car due to the shortage, and the purchase will cost more. The rest considered that the price either would not change, or the sale would become less profitable.

According to the survey results, 26% of Russians have sold their car over the past 3 years, and another 21% thought about selling it, 25% noted that they are satisfied with the existing car.

Popular reasons for changing a car were the choice in favor of another car they liked (24%), moral and functional aging (22%), the possibility of buying a new one instead of a used one (20%).

According to a quarter (25%) of the surveyed motorists, it is time to change the car at the age of 4-5 years. Another 20% consider the optimal value at 6-7 years old, and 21% are sure that the car should be sold at the age of 8-10 years. 14% think about changing the car when it reaches the age of 11 years or more. Only 6% of respondents believe that the car should be changed after it reaches 3 years of age, the study says.
