The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation warned that participation in Columbine carries criminal liability up to life imprisonment, TASS reports.
“For organizing or participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, criminal liability is provided up to life imprisonment,” the department explained.
Earlier it became known that the Supreme Court of Russia recognized Columbine as a terrorist movement and banned it. The lawsuit for the ban was filed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
“Recognize the youth movement Columbine* – another name for Schoolshooting* – as terrorist and ban its activities,” the judge said.
The meeting was held behind closed doors and lasted about two hours.
The State Duma in 2018 adopted a law on measures to combat the creators of the so-called columbine communities. On the basis of this law, Roskomnadzor organized work to block prohibited information. In 2020-2021, more than 750 references were added to the Columbine Prohibited Information Registry.
