A criminal case on abuse of office was opened in St. Petersburg after a conflict between a traffic police inspector and an employee of the criminal investigation department. It is reported by RIA "Novosti" with reference to the press service of the State Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
As specified in the department, the 34-year-old traffic police inspector of the traffic police of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg was detained, the issue of choosing a measure of restraint and bringing charges against him is being decided.
According to investigators, the conflict took place on the night of January 31 to February 1 in the police department of the Vasileostrovsky district. Previously, the cause of the incident was the claims of the traffic police officers to the girl's service weapon. As a result of a skirmish, one of the representatives of the traffic police, exceeding his official powers, threw the girl to the floor and jerked her hands behind her back, because of which the girl received a closed fracture of the left humerus.
The participants in the conflict were 24-year-old criminal investigation officer Alena Yudina and two lieutenants of the same Vasileostrovsky traffic police - 34-year-old Alexander Kolesnikov and 25-year-old Dmitry Perenyuk. After the incident, Yudina was hospitalized at the Mariinsky hospital.
