Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his blog that this year it is planned to build 91 km of roads in the city, including 19 flyovers, bridges, tunnels and 10 off-street pedestrian crossings.
One of the important projects is the construction of a new city highway - the Moscow High-Speed Diameter, 68 km long. This year, the authorities plan to complete the construction of the first stage of the MSD from the Businovskaya interchange to the Kosinskaya flyover. During the year, the last major structure on this highway will be put into operation - a flyover of the main passage from Altufevskoe to Dmitrovskoe highway with a length of 2.4 km.
A link will also be built between the Southern Rokada and the Moscow High-Speed Diameter, interchanges at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with Ostashkovskoye and Altufevskoye highways.
In the west of Moscow, an overpass across the MCD-1 railway track is being reconstructed. Instead of the old overpass 39 m long, a new one, 205 m long, is being built on Barclay Street.
Another project in the western part of the capital is the reconstruction of the Staro-Rublevsky overpass.
