The Security Service of Ukraine said that the country was faced with attempts to systemically whip up panic, spread fakes and distort the real state of affairs.

The service believes that such actions are a manifestation of a hybrid war.

“The SBU captures such manifestations of a hybrid war in social networks, individual media outlets, in the dissemination by some politicians of the narratives of the aggressor country. Not only fixes, but actively opposes them, ”the message published on the website of the State Grant says.

According to the SBU, the motives for the current information pressure are to sow alarm in Ukrainian society, undermine faith in the ability of the state to protect its citizens and undermine the unity of the population.

The service urged the people of Ukraine to remain calm, cool mind, not to succumb to provocations, as well as think critically and check any information.

Earlier, the United States said that Russia was preparing fakes as a pretext for an “attack” on Ukraine.
