According to the head of the UIIOS of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow, Colonel of the Internal Service Vladimir Vasenin, they met in one of the restaurants in the center of the capital. Those wishing to purchase cryptocurrency had to transfer cash, and the “voluntary assistant” had to transfer cryptocurrency to their e-wallet account at the appropriate rate. Having received the money, the swindler, under the pretext of the need to recalculate it, went to the office in a confidential setting. There, he handed over the money to an unidentified accomplice. The scammers fled the restaurant from another exit.

Without waiting for a new acquaintance, the buyer realized that he had been deceived and contacted the police. The material damage amounted to seven million rubles.

Employees of the criminal investigation department detained a swindler on Academician Korolyov Street. It turned out to be a 37-year-old visiting man. As expected, he was not going to fulfill his obligations. The scammers disposed of the stolen money at their own discretion.
