Law enforcement officers in the US state of New Mexico reported that an unknown person attacked a group of people with a knife and wounded 11 people. The police announced this on Twitter.

The attack took place in the city of Albuquerque, the perpetrator acted alone. He traveled on a BMX bike. The police do not rule out that the man committed several attacks in different parts of the city.

“Officers are investigating seven possible scenes ... with reports of 11 victims with stab wounds. All victims are in a stable condition. The only suspect is in custody,” the statement said.

The injured were taken to four hospitals. The police worked all night to make sure there were no accomplices.

Earlier in Blagoveshchensk, a drunken local resident attacked two police lieutenants with an ax when they arrived on a call. The policemen had to shoot the brawler. Of the seven bullets fired, four hit him: in the left thigh, right shin and ankle. The wounded man was hospitalized.
