The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko said that the passengers of the plane of the Ukrainian airline SkyUp, which was forced to land at the airport in Chisinau, will be delivered to Kiev by bus.
“The delivery of Ukrainians to Kiev by buses is being prepared. For this, four buses have already arrived in Chisinau. Within an hour they will go to Ukraine,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Nikolenko added that the Ukrainian Embassy in Moldova is helping passengers, the consuls are now at the airport.
According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to provide maximum assistance to Ukrainian air carriers in solving problems related to the implementation of flights.
According to open data, the average time between Chisinau and Kiev by bus is about 10 hours.
Earlier it was reported that the lessor banned the SkyUp aircraft from entering the airspace of Ukraine, interrupting the flight from the Portuguese Madeira to Kiev.
It also became known that the German carrier Lufthansa allows the termination of flights over Ukraine.
