Ukraine has stopped letting Russian citizens into its territory, except for those who have a certificate of death of close relatives. This is reported by the publication "Strana.ua" with reference to social networks.

It is reported that when denied entry, the border guards refer to the order of the authorities, which was received on February 12 at about 13:00.

"News from the border! Today the Ukrainian side does not let the Russians in! Only those were let in who had a confirmed death certificate, ”the publication cites a message from social media users.

There is no official information about the entry ban for Russians.

Earlier it was reported that in 2021 the border service of Ukraine did not let in twice as many Russians as the year before. According to border service estimates, almost 7,000 Russians were not allowed to enter the country.

“The main reasons for refusals to allow foreign citizens to cross the border, as well as last year, were quarantine restrictions and failure to confirm the purpose of the trip to our country,” the press service said.

Russians were not allowed into the territory of Ukraine more often than other foreigners. In total, in 2021, Ukrainian border guards banned almost 46,000 people from entering the country, of which 31,000 were citizens of other countries.
