Russia (bbabo.net), - The first stage of distribution of textbooks received from Russia to 153 schools in Abkhazia has been completed. These are 160,000 books intended for schoolchildren from the first to the seventh grades, the Minister of Education and Language Policy of the Republic, Inal Gablia, told reporters.
New textbooks appeared due to interaction with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. In March, another 100,000 textbooks are expected to be delivered from Russia for grades 8-11.
“As part of the first stage, textbooks were distributed in 17 subjects, in particular, Russian language, Russian literature, mathematics, English, alphabet and so on. School libraries have the opportunity to distribute textbooks for free from the beginning of the new academic year,” Sputnik quotes Gablia. According to him, textbooks worth more than 62 million rubles have arrived in the republic.
It is interesting that the textbooks that are now being distributed in Abkhazian schools meet the educational standards of Russia. This was requested by the Abkhaz side, which compiled a list of necessary books.
