Russia - In Novosibirsk created a Wi-Fi antenna for crowded places

Russia (bbabo.net), - Novosibirsk scientists have created a directional Wi-Fi antenna that transmits a stable Internet signal in crowded places.

“This is an antenna for Wi-Fi networks operating in the 2.5 GHz frequency bands,” says Maxim Stepanov, Head of the Department of Radio Receiving and Transmitting Devices at NSTU NETI.

According to the developers, the uniqueness of the device lies in the fact that it was created taking into account rather rigid dimensions with high technical requirements for directivity. The antenna is small.

“Another innovation is that the antenna is made in a single technological cycle,” the scientists explain. - Analogues require additional assembly of several structural elements.

A Wi-Fi antenna allows you to create a spatial distinction between different access points. It is planned to be used in places of general congestion of people. For example, at metro stations and stadiums.
