Russia (bbabo.net), - In St. Petersburg, the police managed to detain an organized group of apartment thieves. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the gang was caught red-handed and involved in at least one more theft - in an apartment on Admiral Cherokov Street.
- In the course of the implementation of operational information on suspicion of committing a theft from an apartment on Admiral Konovalov Street, three members of a criminal group aged 38-52, as well as a 55-year-old citizen of one of the neighboring republics, were caught red-handed.
During the search of the detainees, carried out on the spot, the stolen property, as well as master keys and mobile phones, were confiscated from them. Later, weapons were also found at the place of residence of the criminals - a sawn-off shotgun, nine cartridges of 16 mm caliber - and an archival automobile state sign.
On both facts of apartment thefts criminal cases are raised. Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for theft with illegal entry into a dwelling and on a large scale provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to six years. Currently, all the suspects have been detained, the police are taking measures to establish additional episodes of their criminal activity in the region.
