A Moscow college student brought a prescription medication for his heart to class and gave it to his friends to try. As a result, one of his comrades died, two more who took the pills ended up in intensive care. SC opened a criminal case. In Moscow, at the Pavlov Polytechnic College No. 8 on Priorova Street (Koptevo district), on February 14, the body of a teenager was found. He died of sudden heart failure, poisoned by pills that a peer gave him to try.

A freshman at recess suggested that his classmates try a prescription antiarrhythmic drug. He had previously been diagnosed with a heart condition and was prescribed potent pills. He claimed that after taking 4-6 tablets, he “perfectly “torches” and his health improves significantly,” MK reports. The guys agreed, and three of them drank six tablets each, one took two.

After 15 minutes, one of the teenagers became ill: his face turned pale, sweat appeared on his forehead, he began to feel very sick. Then he fell and began to convulse, then his class teacher called an ambulance. When called, the teacher said that one of the students suddenly lost consciousness and stopped breathing, the website kp.ru notes.

The teenager died of acute heart failure before the doctors arrived.

His classmates, who also tried the pills, told the teachers and the police the reason for their poor health, and also reported who treated them to the pills. The owner of the pills endured taking them without consequences and did not go to the doctors, since he has been under the supervision of doctors for several years due to arrhythmia. Two students aged 16 and 18 were urgently hospitalized. They are in the intensive care unit of the toxicology department with suspected poisoning.

The college is cooperating with the investigation

Later, the director of the college, Andrey Trofimov, told TASS that "the doctors immediately arrived at the college and provided first aid to the boys, but, unfortunately, one of them could not be saved." He also said that two hospitalized teenagers are in the hospital under medical supervision, their condition is satisfactory.

Trofimov noted that law enforcement agencies are investigating and clarifying all the circumstances of the incident.

“The administration of the educational organization works with them in close cooperation, and also provides all the necessary assistance and support to the parents of students. We offer our deepest condolences to the parents of the deceased boy,” the director said.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing death by negligence”). It is reported that the defendant in the case was a 16-year-old student who brought pills to college. The punishment under this article is up to two years in prison.

According to Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the capital's head office of the Investigative Committee, witnesses and other eyewitnesses of the incident are currently being interrogated, forensic examinations are being appointed, materials characterizing personalities are being collected, and other investigative and procedural actions are being carried out.
