This is reported by the UK in the region. According to media reports, a newborn girl was kept in the maternity hospital for more than two weeks. The reason allegedly was that the mother did not pay for the stay in the medical institution and the services rendered to her.

The regional prosecutor's office has also begun its inspection. "An inspection of compliance with the requirements of federal legislation was organized. It was entrusted to the prosecutor of the Avtozavodsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. Based on the results, if there are grounds, the issue of taking prosecutorial response measures will be considered," the department stressed.
