On the night of February 14, a patrol noticed a foreign car in Korsakov. The driver was given a signal to stop, but he only added gas and tried to escape from law enforcement officers, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reports.

During the chase, the police with the help of a loudspeaker several times offered the reckless driver to stop. But he ignored all requests and continued to endanger road users. Therefore, the inspectors decided to use weapons. The first shot was a warning, the second - at the car. After that, the offender's car was stopped. The man refused to get out of the car, and the police had to use physical force against him. The medical examination showed that the driver was drunk.

Several administrative protocols were drawn up against the 32-year-old Sakhalin citizen.
