Russia (bbabo.net) - A criminal case against a "criminal authority" already serving a sentence in a strict regime colony and three other prisoners was opened in the investigation department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Ulyanovsk region. The defendants are charged with the creation and participation in the activities of an extremist organization, the press service of the department reports.
- According to the investigation, in December 2020, on the territory of IK No. 10, one of the prisoners, who occupies a high position in the criminal hierarchy, organized a cell of the AUE movement on the territory of the correctional facility (banned on the territory of the Russian Federation). He involved three more convicts in its activities, - said Yevgeny Slovtsov, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee of the ICR for the region.
The cell spread criminal ideology, organized the collection of money for convicts. During the search, knives with the symbols of the forbidden sharpening movement, mounts, mobile phones, parts of home-made moonshine stills, and playing cards were found. Also found were original "documents" that record the activities of spreading the criminal subculture.
“Criminal activity was stopped as a result of joint activities of the departments of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Ulyanovsk Region,” the interlocutor said. The investigation is ongoing.
