Russia - Ex-Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Serov extended his arrest for three months

Russia (bbabo.net), - In Rostov-on-Don, the Leninsky District Court extended the arrest of former Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Serov for three months. The ex-official is suspected of abuse of office and complicity in attempted fraud.

According to the joint press service of the courts of the region, the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Crimea will be in custody until May 17.

Recall that the defendant, who had been on the wanted list since April 2019, was detained in December last year in the Krasnodar Territory. The former high-ranking official is suspected of committing crimes under article 159 of the Criminal Code "Fraud" and article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Abuse of official authority."

Serov served as Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea from July 2017 to March 2018, and before that he led the administration of the city of Sudak.
