Russia (bbabo.net) - In the Trans-Baikal Territory, a criminal case was opened against the leaders of a company that landscaped one of the parks in Chita. They are suspected of fraud for ten million rubles.

In 2020, the Chita Municipal Committee and a limited liability company signed a municipal contract for the improvement of a park in the Chernovsky district of the city in the amount of more than 50 million rubles. The contractor undertook to buy the necessary building materials and lay tiles on the paths, sidewalks, and curbs. The estimate indicated the requirements for the thickness of the coating layer and certain technical characteristics of materials with certain technical characteristics.

After the execution of the contract, the specialists conducted laboratory tests and found that the work was performed poorly and in violation of technology.

"Thus, the leaders of the construction company, using materials of poorer quality and cheaper technologies for laying the coating, stole more than ten million rubles," the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Trans-Baikal Territory reports.

The case was brought against the CEO of the company. His deputy was also interrogated as a suspect. Searches were carried out in their homes, and documents necessary for the investigation were confiscated.
